To help students in the electrical field plan their careers and improve their job-seeking competitiveness, ICARE held the 6th Job Hunting Training Camp – Electrical Special Session on May 29, 2025, in Room S411 of the Clean Energy Building. The session was chaired by Mr. Li Zhitian, ICARE’s employment guidance specialist.

Alumnus He Kuan (Class of 2023) joined online to share his experience at the State Grid Corporation. He gave an overview of daily work routines, teamwork models, and the corporate structure of State Grid, helping students gain a practical understanding of its operations. He also detailed its institutional layout, including functional divisions and regional variations, providing valuable insights for career planning.
Xue Xiaoting, a recent graduate, led a session on practical job-hunting strategies. She emphasized the importance of filtering job information in today’s info-heavy environment. She introduced various job information sources—official websites, industry forums, social media—and shared tips on resume customization, emphasizing quantifiable achievements and individual strengths. She also discussed interview etiquette and exam strategies.
Yu Tianhang focused on State Grid recruitment timelines and shared a detailed exam preparation roadmap. He highlighted the importance of the first batch of exams and offered preparation tips, including exam content breakdown and study strategies. He encouraged students to leverage ICARE resources and seek out internships to develop their skills and readiness.
During the interactive Q&A session, students raised questions on topics such as exam preparation, job benefits, and workload. Speakers responded thoroughly, drawing from personal experience to provide actionable advice.

The session offered a valuable platform for learning and exchange. Students reported gaining practical knowledge and greater confidence in navigating the job market. ICARE plans to continue offering specialized sessions in other energy fields, further supporting students in achieving their career aspirations.
