Recently, Nature Communications published an online breakthrough research achievement on high-performance ion separation membrane materials, titled “A molecularly engineered large-area nanoporous atomically thin graphene membrane for ion separation.” This research was accomplished through in-depth collaboration between HUST and several top international research institutions.

ICARE mentor Professor Yuan Shushan from the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Researcher Jin Pengrui from KU Leuven in Belgium, and Academician Wang Huanting from Monash University in Australia jointly served as corresponding authors. The research team also included internationally renowned scholars such as Professor Yang Jiakuan from the School of Environmental Science and Engineering and Professor Kumar Varoon Agrawal from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in Switzerland.
