As plane trees unfold their new leaves in May, the green and vibrant graduation season arrives. As their campus journey draws to a close, the ICARE 2025 graduates are ready to embark on a new chapter in life. On May 27, the ICARE 2025 graduation ceremony was held in Room N102 of the Clean Energy Building. Professor Luo Xiaobing, ICARE Chinese Dean; Mr. Sun Lu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Energy and Power Engineering; Dr. Zou Mingqing, Vice Dean of ICARE; Dr. Edward Bentley (foreign faculty member); and all administrative staff attended the ceremony.

At the start of the ceremony, Dr. Zou Mingqing extended warm congratulations to the graduates who successfully completed their studies and shared several hopes for them: to grow into vibrant, responsible, and motivated individuals; to always maintain their curiosity for knowledge, passion for exploration, and pursuit of ideals; to achieve great accomplishments through down-to-earth efforts; and to steadily realize their aspirations.

Prof. Michel FARINE, the European Dean, also sent his blessings via video.

Dr. Edward Bentley reflected on moments of exploring knowledge with the students, encouraging them to recognize that graduation is not the end of their tasks but the beginning of contributing to the country and society with their knowledge and skills. He also wished all graduates a bright future and smooth sailing.

Ms. Zhao Yiting, the student counselor, reminisced about the three years of growth shared with the graduates and offered heartfelt advice based on her professional experience. She emphasized that ICARE will always be their strongest support and warmest home, encouraging them to return often.

Mr. Su Jun, the graduate representative, shared insights and experiences from postgraduate life, expressing gratitude and fondness toward teachers and classmates, and sending best wishes to his alma mater.

Prof. Luo Xiaobing delivered a concluding speech, shook hands with graduates, posed for group photos, and presented teddy bears engraved with their names as graduation gifts on behalf of ICARE. He reminded the graduates to always uphold the university motto of “Virtue, Erudition, Truth, Innovation” and to inherit the Huazhong University spirit of “Daring to Compete, Good at Transformation.” He urged them to never abandon their lofty aspirations and to always hold a heart dedicated to serving the country.
